Authorities say a Florida sheriff’s deputy Daniel Leyden, killed a fellow cop with whom he was having an affair before killing himself while on vacation with coworkers.
According to department officials, they were discovered dead late Saturday in a rented home near St. Augustine.
Sheriff Chad Chronister said the pair was arguing in a bedroom before other deputies who were vacationing with them heard gunshots.
According to authorities, Leyden, who worked in the Criminal Investigations Division of the agency, was discovered dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
