“There was a really exciting discovery linked to my disease outside of merely my #Gallbladder and obstruction after major surgery and following all procedure,” he explained, adding that he was COVID-19-free.
Al, once informed by his doctor that he only had a few months to live, has fully recovered after overcoming his life-threatening condition.
The 53-year-old musician revealed his condition on Instagram last year. He reported a gallbladder problem, a blockage, and poisonous inside issues. He was above 300 pounds in 2017 and had to undergo weight loss surgery.
He is now reportedly weighing 195 pounds, and he is grateful for the progress he has made in recovering from his sickness and becoming healthier.

He attended Mount Vernon High School in New York. In high school, he was a standout quarterback.
He was granted an athletic scholarship to the University of Iowa, but he declined to pursue a music career. He was chosen as the first winner of the Sony Innovators Talent Search by musician Quincy Jones.
