Tyler Kohl recognised as one of our “Basketball Sons,” passed away, and the C.C.P. would like to express its deepest condolences to everyone in the basketball community. WeR1 won the first of three national championships they would claim while competing for Under Armour in 2014. By this time, we had successfully established ourselves as a significant force both nationally and on the sneaker circuit.
When Tyler Kohl, a.k.a. “Baby Barkley,” first joined Team NJ A.B.C., he had an immediate impact. He assisted them in winning the AGame Super Shootout, the N.J. State championship, and other competitions.
Tyler received all-tournament recognition at the Basketball Spotlight Atlantic City Showcase as well. He was invited to the J.E.M. All-Star Classic thanks to his effort and on-court performance.
He wasn’t the most athletic or the fastest player on the court, but he was tough and skilled, and when he got the ball in his hands, there was nothing he couldn’t do. When he held the basketball, there was nothing he couldn’t accomplish. There was nothing that he couldn’t do when he had the basketball in his hands.
