Loyal Sam Hudson, a paramedic and public worker, has passed away. Sam Hudson, an engineer, was a devoted and passionate servant to the people of San Antonio.

Sam Hudson was pronounced deceased on March 12, 2023, a Sunday. Following a flood of heartfelt condolence comments for Sam Hudson’s family, the San Antonio Fire Department recently shared the sad news of his passing on social media.

The cause of death is not disclosed. Funeral services might not be disclosed right away. Everyone, including friends and family, is mourning and remembering Sam Hudson. They also respect him and express their sympathies on social media.

“Engineer Sam Hudson was a dedicated and loyal servant to the citizens of San Antonio. Sam was a friend to all. Quick with a smile and committed to making others’ lives better. Sam had a quick wit and a big personality which he used to lift all those around him.”

Sam was employed with the San Antonio Department up to the moment of his untimely passing. Sam has worked with the Department since 2009 and was responsible for Medic 22 on the C shift.

The Department has sent its deepest sympathies to the Hudson family and every one of his colleagues during this sad and trying time.

Sam is survived by a devoted family that includes his two young children, brother, parents, sister, and brother-in-law, both firemen. Sam Hudson has received several thanks for his recent years of unselfish devotion to the San Antonio community.
