Joe is renowned for his hitting strength, and has taken part in 14 fights, all of which he has won.

He won a bronze medal at the 2013 European Championships when he was still an amateur. He also won gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2015 European Games, bronze at the 2015 World Championships, and silver at the 2016 Olympic Games.

At the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Joe competed in the men’s super heavyweight division and took home the gold medal.

He won the medal at the 2015 European Games in Baku the following year.

From August 2020 to August 2021, Joe was the reigning European heavyweight champion.

He was ranked sixth among active heavyweights by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board in the same year.

Joe was slated to face former world championship contender Carlos Takam in 2021. He eventually won the fight by a knock out.
