What happens when you reset Arlo?
Factory
resetting your
Arlo wire-free camera returns it to default settings and removes the camera from your account. This means that
you must follow the
Arlo app setup process to use your camera after a factory
reset.
Why is my Arlo base station not connecting?
If
Arlo still
cannot discover your
base station, check the color of the Internet LED on your
base station: Make sure that your router is powered on and
connected to the Internet. If the Internet LED lights green, perform a factory reset on your
base station and try the installation process again.
How do I resync my Arlo camera base station?
Sync the
camera to the
base station: If you are using an
Arlo base station, press the
Sync button on the side of the
base station for about two seconds and then release the button. Note: If you press the
Sync button on the
Arlo base station for too long, the LED under the USB symbol blinks amber for 10 minutes.

Why can’t I access my Arlo cameras?
Make sure
your mobile device and
Arlo device are not too far away from
your WiFi router. We recommend placing
your camera 10-15 feet (3-4.5 meters) away from
your WiFi router during
the setup process. When
the camera is set up and connected, you can move
the camera to any place within range of
your WiFi router.
Why is my Arlo app not connecting?
If you experience frequent crashes on your
Arlo app, try uninstalling
the Arlo app and reinstalling it. Other
apps on your mobile device could play a part in
the frequent crashes of
the Arlo app. Running multiple
apps take up device resources which can cause
apps to perform poorly or crash altogether.
Why is my Arlo not recording?
Try rebooting the base and reinserting the camera(s) battery. Also verify that the proper mode is selected and configured properly. I am no longer getting any videos too – I get alerts, but no video recordings in the library (despite a notification tag).

recordings can be stored to the cloud, but you can connect a USB device to your

recordings are saved locally to the connected USB device. Manual
recordings are only saved to the cloud.
How do I set my Arlo to record?
Tap or click the pencil icon next to
Record video. If
Record Video is not selected, you cannot edit
recording length. Select
Record until activity stops (
up to 300 sec) or select
Record for a fixed length of time and move the slider to your preferred
recording length. Tap or click Save.
How do I connect my Arlo camera without a base station?
From the Devices screen, tap Add New Device, and select your
camera. If
Arlo detects a SmartHub or
base station, tap
Connect without SmartHub or
Connect without a
Base Station. Follow the in-app instructions to
connect your
