Billy Selmon Death: Obituary, Cause Of Death, Funeral
Billy Selmon, a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend, died suddenly on Saturday, January 28, following an unplanned hospital stay and an urgent stomach operation. Hillary, his wife, and Bill and Angela, his parents, were by his side.
A viewing for family and close friends will be placed at Murray Brothers Funeral Home in Atlanta on Friday, February 3, from 5 to 6 p.m.; others are welcome to a wake that will follow the viewing.
A Celebration of Life will occur on Saturday, February 4 at 11 a.m. at Word of Faith Cathedral, 212 Riverside Pkwy, Austell, Georgia. A reception will immediately follow at Pace Academy, 966 W. Paces Ferry Road, NW.
Everyone was grieved and mourning over the departure of Billy Selmon, remembering and missing him and posting condolences and memorials to him on social media.
Bill and Angela had Billy in Mableton, Georgia, on March 12, 1993. Billy left Pace Academy in 2011, enrolled at Bates College, where he played basketball and studied economics, and earned his degree there in 2015.
After graduating from college, Billy worked in Boston, Massachusetts, managing properties. After that, he worked in banking for a year in Brewer, Maine. He most recently worked for Empower as a retirement consultant.
Billy and Hillary Throckmorton started dating in 2014 after meeting at Bates College. They wed in Dedham, Maine, on August 28, 2021, and are having a child in May 2023. Everyone agrees that Billy would have made a fantastic father.
Billy enjoyed playing basketball for Shad Nation, golfing, and listening to music. Billy’s radiant smile and contagious laugh will always be remembered. Billy attracted people with his cheerful politeness.
He was the biggest hype guy, particularly for his younger brother Kenny. Billy was a fantastic husband, son, brother, coworker, and friend, according to everyone you ask. Anyone who knew Billy can recall when he made them feel good.
