Abu Salem gets three-year term in fake passport case

Lucknow, Sep 27 (IANS) Previous hidden world wear Abu Salem has been condemned to three years in jail in a phony visa case.
CBI’s exceptional legal officer Samridhi Mishra articulated the sentence here on Tuesday.

Aside from Abu Salem, one more convict Parvez Alam has likewise been condemned in the phony visa case.

Abu Salem a.k.a Abdul Qayoom Ansari, alongside his partners Parvez Alam and Sameera Jumani, had applied for a visa for the sake of Aqeel Ahmed Azmi at the Lucknow identification office in 1993.

Salem appended manufactured records of phony name and address with the application and got visa, which he later utilized.

After examination concerning the case, the CBI had recorded a charge-sheet. Taking cognisance of this, the court had outlined charges against Salem on June 5, 2009.

Salem was condemned to life by a TADA court in 2015 in the wake of viewing him to be blameworthy in the 1995 homicide of manufacturer Pradeep Jain.
