Aaron Ramsey was charged with murdering his 73-year-old father, Edward Ramsey, in their Wilton home. Due to his insanity, he was judged not guilty.

Aaron Ramsey Murder Timeline -What Happened To His Father Edward Ramsey?

Aaron Ramsey has been charged with murder after telling police he heard voices informing him his father, Edward Ramsey, possessed special abilities.

Edward was discovered inside a residence at 125 Signal Hill Road in Wilton. Officials say he died as a result of blunt force injuries.

His son, Aaron, has been charged with murder, first-degree attempted robbery, and third-degree burglary in connection with his father’s death. According to investigators, he admitted to killing his father.

So, according to court filings, Ramsey said officers went to his father’s room to ask him a question and suspected he was lying.

He told officers, according to court filings, he heard voices telling him he needed to find out who “the fakers and manipulators” were and “bring individuals on trial.”

Aaron began beating Edward after a brief exchange of words with his father. Edward never fought back.

When police arrived, Aaron was shrieking that someone was following him, and he was semiconscious, erratic, confused, and hyperventilating, according to papers.

According to court documents, Aaron Ramsey admitted to police at Norwalk Hospital that he killed his father just before attempting to break into his car on Cheese Spring Road, claimed he heard voices telling him that “aliens” were on their way to grab him and that he went across the woods, “using his thoughts” to open a door and enter someone is home,

Police apprehended Aaron at his home.

Aaron Ramsey Trial Update

According to the clerk’s office of the Stamford Superior Court, Aaron Ramsey of Wilton was sentenced to 50 years in the Whiting Forensic Facility by a three-judge panel for murdering his father.

In May 2012, Ramsey was charged with the murder of his father, Edward, in their Wilton home. Due to his insanity, he was judged not guilty.

According to Judge Richard Comerford’s finding in December, “the state has shown further than a possible suspicion that Mr. Ramsey caused the death of one Edward Ramsey.”

He was suffering from cognitive dissonance and command hallucinations at the time of his father’s murder. The defendant was in a severe psychotic state at the time.

Ramsey was also found not guilty because of insanity of third-degree burglary and third-degree theft.

He will serve his time in Middletown’s Whiting Forensic Facility.

Aaron Ramsey Family And Children

Aaron Ramsey’s mother is SueAnn Ramsey, but no further family members have been mentioned.

His marital status was not reported at the time of his arrest, but given that he was just 22-years-old at the time, it appears that he is single.
